The 4 Inns Walk is a tough competitive event in the Peak District, over some of the roughest moorland in Britain.  It takes its name from the 4 inns along its route – The Isle of Skye (site of), Snake Pass Inn, Nags Head, and the Cat & Fiddle.

The main route is 65k and is open to all and a shorter 35k route is open to Explorer scouts.

This year’s event was another great success with 23 out of the 24 walkers completing their respective route.

In the 35k event the 3 Explorer teams all finished as complete teams.

Team ‘C’ (Tom, Gus, Alex, Edward) 8hrs 35mins. (Finished 8^th)

Team ‘B’ (Toby, Josh, Archie, Oliver) 8 hrs 36mins (Finished 9^th)

Team ‘A’ (William, David, Will, Ben) 8hrs 44 mins (Finished 11^th)

In the category for teams walking without a leader (adult over 18) the teams finished 2^nd, 3^rd & 4^th respectively.

In the 65k event the results were as follows:

Team ‘E’ (Simon, Philip, Sam) 15hrs 27mins (1 retirement)

Team ‘F’ (Helen, Joanna, Sheryl) 16hrs 44mins (Finished 53^rd)

Team ‘G’ (Mark B, Mark W, Harriss) 18hrs 04mins (Finished 58^th)

Team ‘D’ (Elloise, Emma, Kathryn) 18 hrs 11mins (Finished 62^nd)

Team ‘F’ also finished 2^nd in the Novice completion and Team ‘D’ finished 3^rd in the Novice competition and 3^rd in the Fastest Scout Team all under 25 competition.
